Unlike many “longfin” fish varieties, in the Veiltail Cherry barb, only the caudal fin (tail) is elongated; the first time you see one it really stands out as something unique. These are small, easy going, somewhat active community fish that are easy to maintain, ideally kept in groups of 6 or more.
