Begonia U402 is an undescribed shrub-type Begonia species from Venezuela. It’s generally easy to grow and produces big flowers when it hits a more mature size (which I’d say is 12-18″ tall with multiple branches). Sold rooted in a 2″ cup; minimum size will be 3-4 leaves, but often significantly larger.
General Care Information
A shrub-type Begonia that happens to do well in vivarium conditions. Leaves will be green to reddish-bronze depending on lighting conditions. Will require pruning; I basically grow it in one vivarium and propagate a fresh batch every time I clear cut it! Grows more compact and bushy in less humidity; I’ve even grown this outdoors in zone 3B as a summer annual alongside my house and in hanging baskets. Versatile and easy.
