Apistogramma panduro is sometimes erroneously referred to as Apistogramma pandurini. It carries numerous aquarium trade names, such as “Blue Sky”, “Sky Blue”, and “Blue Panda” Apisto. It is easily confused with the related species Apistogramma nijsseni. Apistogramma panduro is a lovely small cichlid. When spawning and protecting fry they can be more aggressive (I watched a pair I separated out pushing around some Corydoras catfish easily 3-4 times larger than themselves) but frankly I don’t think you have much to worry about when putting these in a soft water community; these max out at just 2″ in length.
The fish being offered are roughly 0.75″ to 1.25″ at this time, and are privately produced here in the midwest! Juveniles are sold in unsexed. Support your Mom & Pop breeders!
