Tateurndina ocellicauda “Peacock Gudgeon” Goby

Original price was: $16.00.Current price is: $12.00.

One of the more underappreciated freshwater fishes, the Peacock Gudgeon, Tateurndina ocellicauda, is a freshwater goby hailing from Papua New Guinea. They’re extremely colorful, easily sexed (females have black margins on their dorsal and anal fins), relatively peaceful (they may quarrel a bit with their own kind, but it’s not serious), small (can get up to 3″, but generally closer to 2″) and yes, you can even breed them (the ones we carry are produced by Florida fish farmers). Feeding on most anything, and pretty accepting of middle-of-the-road ph values, Peacock Gudgeons deserve a spot in your next community aquarium (of course, they’ll also make for a great species tank or biotope setup)!

The specimens we offer are captive-bred, generally in the 1.25″ to 1.5″ size range, and are well-conditioned.
