Not nearly as available as their Black Phantom counterparts, the Red Phantom Tetra, Hyphessobrycon sweglesi, is another fish I had on my wishlist. While at times inexpensive, they come in small and dull, which means to offer a quality fish I have to sit through any losses, and then grow them out on high quality foods to push for good color. In the end, the effort pays off with a beautiful red fish. *NOTE* do not confuse the Red Phantom Tetra with the ubiquitous, more boisterous and sometimes nippy Serpae Tetra (H. eques).
